August 16 20:55 2021
Five Microns has released information about their assistive device on a new website. The Tremelo is able to reduce essential tremors by 95 to 90 percent.

Five Microns and Dr. Leo Nguyen are pleased to announce the launch of their informative new website, which describes the Tremelo hand tremor device. Tremelo is a non-invasive hand tremor reduction device designed to help users enjoy independence, life, and daily activities. Tremelo can reduce mild to severe essential tremors in the hands by 85 to 90 percent. The device uses 100% non-invasive vibration absorption technology to stabilize essential tremors. Its one-hand operation makes it easy to wear and use.

Essential Tremor makes many of the simple activities of daily life frustrating and challenging for countless millions of individuals. The IETF (International Essential Tremor Foundation) estimates that Essential Tremors affect at least ten million Americans and millions more worldwide. The Tremelo device uses a tuned mass damper protocol to counteract hand or arm tremors. Rather than relying on medication, which can only reduce tremors by 40 to 50 percent, Tremelo reduces tremors by 85 or 90 %.

Further details are available at https://fivemicrons.com

The device is a Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Class I device. The device does not rely on electricity, so there are no recharges. Essential Tremor (ET) is a neurological condition that typically causes a rhythmic trembling of the hands while performing a task such as writing, eating, drinking, dressing, or when holding a posture such as with the arms outstretched in front of the body. Tremelo will help many of those individuals with symptoms of Essential Tremors, the ability to enjoy their daily activities safely.

According to Five Microns founder and CEO, Thế Leo Nguyen, Ph.D. “Our goal is to make the equipment more available to essential tremor patients. As a result, we launched the Tremelo Demo Device Program, permitting occupational therapists, assistive technology facilities,, and others to offer demo devices to their clients. This program is focused on clinics and their likely clients in need of tremor reduction.”
